What Would We Do Without Our Dads?

What would we do without our dads?

I don’t know where I’d be

Without my dad

I would be homeless

Probably

Probably would have run away to London

Probably

And live in a mix of hostels, hotels and homeless shelters

Whatever I could afford

Be scared

Everyday

Not knowing who I’d meet

Along the way

Or where I’d go

Or where I’d sleep at night

Or what I’d be able to afford to eat

Living today

Is so expensive

Unaffordable

I think many others are in the same boat

As me

And live with close friends or family members

And help out when they can

Oh, what would we do without our dads?

Some people don’t have a father

But some have father figures

And I think that is nice

Some have daddy issues

Regardless if they have a father

or not

Living today

Is a tsunami of emotions

And we are each in our own boats

Just trying to keep afloat
